KATE!

She is considered "The Model" par excellence. Discovered at the age of fourteen, in many years she became one of the most famous model: designers asked for her to walk down their catwalks; brands payed a lot to have her face in their advertising campaigns; photographs fought to shoot with her; parties were not so glamorous without her.

Who am I talking about? She: Kate! The first - or probably the second after the Duchess - Kate in London... Miss Moss!

One of the most fashionable woman in the world, is now celebrating twenty-five years career in fashion with her numerous covers, shows, but also her last collection of lipsticks.

A trendsetter, an icon, a tastemaker, Kate marked her role in the fashion world in the past such as she is doing yet. And this is my homage to Miss Moss, trying to copy her pose on the cover of i-D Magazine February 2013 issue.

LIGHTS, CAMERA, ON!

Based on the Côte d'Azur, surrounded by clear water and exclusive hotels, Cannes becomes - for ten days every year - the centre of international Cinema. Thousands of people arrive in early May in the small but pretty French city for the "Festival de Cannes" bringing a little tornado on that land.

Events and parties and soirée de gala guest actors, models, producers, celebrities... All facing the cameras, smiling to photographers, showing their best to the world.

The sun shines on the Croisette while kilometres of tulle and satin and embroidered organza follow the shapes of beautiful women walking on heels, sparkling with their diamonds jewels and their "tuxedo men".

C'est la Montée des Marches! And I am here, attending my first red carpet ever... It's all ready.

So: "Lights, camera, on!".

AN ODE TO SICILY

Dolce&Gabbana Spring/Summer 2013 Fashion Show

Sicilian Moors on a black background surrounded by Knights and raffia details; floral patterns mixed with "Carretto" prints and stripes; lace and organza hide fifties style bras and vimini bustier; colourful and decorated platforms switch to raffia sling backs and flats; foulards and big earrings complete the look adorning the faces. Bright colours fight against classic black and neutral tones.

Sicily is the main character of the Dolce&Gabbana Spring/Summer 2013 collection: an ode to the beautiful Italian island, to its traditions and its culture revisited in a modern key. That is what comes out  from the catwalk and the result is an incredible and joyous show. One word: Meraviglioso!
